Loving Our Moms

Nate: “I cannot adequately put into words the value my mother has added to my life. From teaching me to paint, read, dream, and love the world, my mom has been better than anyone I could have asked for. I am double blessed because she works with me, and tripled blessed because she kicks ass at her job!”

Hannah: “I am beyond grateful to have such a creative, loving, wise and strong woman as my mom! We enjoy many activities together: trying new coffee spots, browsing cool stores, eating delicious food, exploring cute towns, and of course watching Gilmore Girls at the end of the day. Thank you for always supporting me to follow my dreams and inspiring me to be courageous!”

Michelle: “Mom has been my cheerleader since I was first stumbling and tumbling while learning to walk. She has stood beside me every time I needed to be strong. Sharing her love of books, movies, good food, driving, and how to not be wronged. Barbara has inspired me to be a curious seeker on this journey of Life. Love my mamma!”

Ynez: “Mama Rose can literally make any situation funny. She can lift my spirits in the darkest moments. I’m so incredibly grateful for her.”

Spring: “Vicki is such an inspiration! From running a half marathon for the first time at age 50 to getting her Ed. Leadership degree-she always shines bright! Can’t wait to see her hold her first grandson soon!”

Tatiana: “I feel so incredibly happy & thankful that my mom moved from Florida to Illinois to be close to me. She’s honestly my best friend.”

RD’s Highlights from April…

Nate guided Elk Grove High School’s motivated students as they worked on their websites in the business incubator program. This class teaches the tools and mindset beneficial to young entrepreneurs creating lean startups. Students are taught by real-life coaches and mentors who prepare them for the culminating project of Pitch Week which (similar to competitive Shark Tank) to a panel of judges.

Nate’s college friend and now business collaborator Cole Connor (Apollo’s Bow) visited Ruben Digital in the Windy City from South Carolina. Cole and Jacqueline are creative content developers, passionate about documenting their life journey via podcast, video and photography.

We Love To Travel!

Palm Tree on Google Android 9.0 Tatiana ventured down to Florida to spend time with her dad and beautiful weather. The best activity she loves sharing with her dad is fishing. “I always love visiting my dad in Miami, Florida. My dad loves fishing so when I visit him we do a lot of fishing in Islamorada (Key West) and some freshwater fishing around Ft. Lauderdale and The Everglades. The weather was perfect & I can’t wait for my next trip!”

Giving Back the RD Way

JUF hosted Good Deeds Day, on April 7th throughout Chicagoland, a global day of service born in Israel. Michelle spent the afternoon at the JCC Chicago – Bernard Weinger in Northbrook. The Chicago effort was coordinated by JUF’s TOV Network. Projects included making pet toys for shelter animals, writing letters to those affected by a natural disaster, making fleece blankets for the homeless, decorating flower pots for senior citizens, and packing kindness bags which were given a Chicago homeless shelter.
