RD’s Highlights from March…
Fun on the Road
Nate and Hannah created wonderful memories on a “Spring Break” road trip with their dad traveling to Nashville, TN and Columbia, SC. They ate delicious food, explored the cities, practiced yoga, worked out, and connected with old friends. Enjoying beautiful weather and of course, still working on the go!
Celebrating Women’s Empowerment Month
We kicked off Womens’ Empowerment Month with an all-women team meeting filled with productivity, teamwork, & empowerment. Our boss Nate is one lucky fella for having such focused, creative women behind the scenes!
Even our tiniest co-worker flexed her girl power muscles in March! 💜
NEW Spotify Playlists!
RD created a Spotify account with music we know you’ll love! 🎶
Each playlist captures our culture by providing tunes you can jam out to at the office, dive deep into meditation, support local friends and more!

Around the Community
Michelle had the privilege to hear Amanda Lindhout speak about her Phoenix rising after being held captive in Somalia nine years with her traveling companion. Amanda spoke about her PTSD, how she had to dig deep over the 19 months to use her resilience to rise above her circumstances and thrive. Her book, A House in the Sky chronicles her story and how she rose into a phoenix. EO Chicago hosted Amanda Lindhout, in a unique panel discussion empowering women.
EO Chicago is a global peer-to-peer organization network focused on helping entrepreneurs grow their business, expand their network and here to support members personally as needed.

Building Relationships
Our networking groups foster connection, help us improve and practice our pitches, and prospect for business. Meeting individuals for 1:1 coffee, lunch, a walk or sporting event gives us the opportunity to learn about each other’s families, hobbies and goals. When we improve our human connection, we want to do business together and help others thrive.
Kirsten H.Gordon, owner of Bloom Magic Weddings, welcomed Michelle to her Highland Park studio. Time passed quickly as Michelle learned that Kirsten uses sustainable resources to create her unique floral stories which inspire every wedding, dinner party, and special event to be one of a kind!
Aleckson Insurance hosted their first lunch/learn in their new building in Lake Zurich. The presentation focused on cyber risk management for business. Seeing Jeff Templer in his element graciously hosting and being so welcoming was worth driving in the crazy weather that day!
👀 Sneak Peeks in April…
National Month of Hope

Ways to spread hope:
- Volunteer at a homeless shelter
- Reading to children in school
- Helping elderly friends/family with errands or meals
- Use #NationalHopeMonth on your social media posts to spread hope digitally
Parkinson’s Awareness
Celebrate Parkinson’s Awareness throughout April. This year’s theme is about starting a conversation with loved ones, friends, neighbors and caregivers about the disease. Our family is personally affected by Parkinson’s. Michelle’s dad, Howard (also known as Grandpa Howie) inspires his family by his daily dedication to Deluxe Car Wash.
